Latry was planned to make sure everybody has a special holiday. This means that each gites has its own private terrace and that facilities for children and the pools are placed well away from areas where relaxation is the prime aim. During the school holidays Latry is very much a family destination but even then there is peace and tranquility for those who seek it. Outside of the school holidays you can benefit from cheaper prices, excellent climate and easier travel. Why not come in Spring or Autumn and then bring the grand children in the summer! In June, September and October we rent our gites by the day and you can arrive on any day of the week

Latry has over 20 acres of woods, meadows and gardens which are full of wildlife and birds which are less common in gardens in the UK. There are plenty of shady areas for that long earned book, reading it or writing it.

We are well placed for trips to the coast, the wine regions of Bordeaux or Bergerac. The area is full of interest, history and culture with some excellent restaurants.

We have 2 swimming pools for swimmers of all abilities. The pools are flood-lit, safely enclosed to the strict French standards and situated well away from your private terrace and gardens.The temperature in June-October is very pleasant and often you can swim lengths with only the birds for company.

In Sring and Autumn the climate is ideal and there are many events and festivities in the locality. Brigitte is a native of Bordeaux and provides a weekly newsletter in both French and English highlighting local events which makes sure you will not miss out on the many and varied local attractions. We also provide a very comprehensive information folder with maps and details.

We are very happy to help with bookings and reservations for restaurants or activities where your French might be a bit overstretched on the phone.
